🚀 Le Kenya est aujourd’hui en pleine transformation numérique et rencontre une multitude d’enjeux. Le projet se focalise sur trois sujets principaux : l’accessibilité, l’inclusion et l’open-data. Trois sujets que l’on connait bien chez Numéricité !
Ce premier déplacement a permis à Sam et Mehdi, accompagnés de Paul N. Musau, Claire Jelagat et Beatrice Maina, de rencontrer une vingtaines d’acteurs publics et privés de l’écosystème numérique kényan tels que le Ministère de la Santé, de l’Agriculture, la Kenya School of Government, ou encore le Directorate for eCitizen Services.
💡 Les entretiens menés avec ces différents acteurs leur ont permis de mieux saisir le fonctionnement de l’écosystème numérique kényan, notamment les enjeux de gouvernance, de données et de connectivité, et de comprendre les besoins à venir. Autant d’informations qui leur permettront de formuler des recommandations d’accompagnement et d’identifier des cas d’usage à mettre en œuvre pour accélérer la transformation numérique kényane !

Meeting Kenya’s digital ecosystem
Two weeks ago, Sam Khouma and Mehdi Rafenne travelled to Nairobi as part of a support project funded by l’Agence Française de Développement in Eastern Africa and led by Expertise France and the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy.
🚀 Kenya is currently undergoing a digital transformation and facing a multitude of challenges. The project focuses on three main topics: accessibility, inclusion and open data. Three topics that we at Numéricité know well!
This first trip enabled Sam and Mehdi, accompanied by Paul N. Musau, Claire Jelagat and Beatrice Maina, to meet with some twenty public and private actors from the Kenyan digital ecosystem, such as the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Kenya School of Government and the Directorate for eCitizen Services.
💡 The interviews conducted with these various stakeholders gave them a better understanding of how Kenya’s digital ecosystem works, particularly in terms of governance, data and connectivity issues, and helped them to identify future needs. All this information will enable them to formulate recommendations for support and identify use cases to be implemented to accelerate Kenya’s digital transformation !
